The Cayman Islands Government has issued a revised order setting out company fee increases due to take effect on 1 January 2027, replacing an earlier version published in August.
The Companies (Amendment of Schedule 5) (No. 2) Order, 2026, was published on 16 October in the Legislation Gazette.
Cabinet made the order on 14 October, repealing the Companies (Amendment of Schedule 5) Order, 2026, which was published on 14 August.
The revised order retains planned CI$100 increases to several annual fees under the Companies Act (2026 Revision).
For non-resident companies with no registered capital or registered capital of no more than $42,000, the annual fee will increase from $900 to $1,000.
Companies with registered capital above $42,000 will pay $1,240, up from $1,140.
Annual fees for exempted companies will also increase by $100 across four registered-capital bands.
The fee for foreign companies will rise from $1,650 to $1,750, while the charge for special economic zone companies will change from a calculation linked to the lowest exempted-company fee band to a fixed $925.
The changes follow the government’s budget announcement that higher company registration and annual fees are expected to generate an additional $20.3 million in revenue from 2027.
The latest changes build on fee increases introduced on 1 January 2025 under a 2024 order, which raised several annual charges by $100, including those for non-resident and exempted companies.
The new order adds a further $100 to the same fees.
The October instrument was made under sections 282 and 283 of the Companies Act, which empower Cabinet to amend Schedule 5 and prescribe fees.
