Rahamut leads Stock class as CMF slalom league reaches finale

Alistair Rahamut leads the Stock class standings by two points ahead of the final round of the 2026 Cayman Motoring Federation (CMF) Autocross Slalom League on 25 October.

The fifth round of the six-event series took place on 11 October, with 11 drivers competing alongside 15 volunteers and more than 25 spectators and supporters, CMF shared in a press release.

Natasha White, driving a GAC Empow, won the Stock class on the day with a time of 68.284 seconds.

Rahamut finished second in his Honda Civic in 68.370 seconds, just 0.086 seconds behind, while Rory Scheepers took third in an Audi Q3.

He leads the overall Stock standings on 68 points, followed by Scheepers on 66. White is third on 43 points.

Ricardo Dennis won the Modified class in his Toyota Starlet with a time of 74.527 seconds. Adis Kevorian finished second in a VW GTI, while Cameron Myrie, driving a Honda Civic Type R, did not finish.

Matthew Kitching leads the Modified standings on 58 points, three ahead of Dennis on 55. Myrie is third on 48.

Damean Simpson won the Heavy class in his BMW X5 with a time of 79.973 seconds. He also leads the overall standings in the category with 75 points, ahead of Jason Butcher on 25 and Jane Scaletta on 18.

Rahamut recorded the fastest lap of the day at 33.976 seconds.

League scoring is based on the best two of three rounds, with the narrow gaps at the top of the Stock and Modified standings setting up a close contest in the season finale.

The final event will take place on 25 October at Foster’s Airport overflow parking lot, starting at 1pm.

CMF is also inviting families to bring young electric ride-on racers, following the introduction of its first young participant, four-year-old Octavia Scaletta, at the latest event.

The event was supported by Monster Beverage, which supplied canned drinks for sale to raise funds for CMF activities.

Recycling bins provided through the federation’s partnership with Junk, online registration and QR codes were among the measures used to reduce waste and paper consumption.

CMF also continued its sustainability partnership with Refuel, including a survey for drivers and volunteers to help identify further improvements.

The federation thanked the 15 volunteers who supported the fifth round as part of FIA Volunteers Month, recognising their contribution to running events and developing grassroots motorsport in the Cayman Islands.

Spectators are invited to attend the final round on 25 October to support the drivers and enjoy an afternoon of motorsport and family activities.
