St Ignatius Catholic School and Clifton Hunter High School claimed the top honours in the 2026 Dart Under-13 Boys’ High School Football League after two dramatic finals ended with late goals and a penalty shootout.
St Ignatius secured the Champions Cup with a 3-2 victory over Cayman Prep 13A at the Annex Field on 15 October, according to a Cayman Youth Football Leagues press release.

Clifton Hunter, meanwhile, defeated Cayman International School (CIS) Boys 13 Blue on penalties the previous day to win the Consolation Cup.
The Champions Cup final looked set to go to a shootout after Cayman Prep fought back from two goals down to level the score in the final minute.
However, St Ignatius captain Jayden Wambugu struck from a free kick in injury time to seal the title.
St Ignatius had taken the lead in the 12th minute through Zach Salaverri, whose free kick evaded the Cayman Prep goalkeeper.
Phoenix Lacasse doubled the advantage in the 20th minute, reacting quickest to a rebound to make it 2-0.
Cayman Prep responded after half-time, with Johnny Jones reducing the deficit in the 43rd minute.
Cyrus Panton then equalised in the final minute of normal time, setting up a tense finish before Wambugu’s late winner secured the championship.
St Ignatius, runners-up in Group A, had reached the final with a 4-1 semi-final victory over Group B winners John Gray High School.
Cayman Prep, who topped Group A, beat Group B runners-up CF High School by the same scoreline.

In Wednesday’s Consolation Cup final at the CIFA Field, Clifton Hunter beat CIS Boys 13 Blue 3-1 on penalties after the teams drew 3-3 in normal time.
Clifton Hunter made a flying start, with Aeden Forde scoring in the first minute before adding a second in the 23rd minute.
Jack Henderson pulled one back for CIS three minutes later, but Tetsu Henderson restored Clifton Hunter’s two-goal cushion in the 28th minute to make it 3-1.
CIS refused to give up, with Jack Henderson scoring again in the 30th minute before Charles Russell equalised in the 55th minute to force a penalty shootout.
Clifton Hunter converted its first three penalties, while CIS missed two of its opening three attempts to hand the Consolation Cup to the Frank Sound school.
Dart representative Dave Scott Jr, a former St Ignatius pupil, presented the trophies to the winners and runners-up.
The 2026 Dart Under-13 high school football competitions will conclude after the mid-term break with the girls’ Champions Cup matches.
