Collas Crill Corporate Services (CCCS) has appointed Patrice Boothe to its board as the Cayman-based provider expands its directorship and governance services.
Boothe joined the company last year as head of corporate services in Cayman.
She has more than 25 years of experience in the corporate and financial services sector, covering financial management, board directorships, corporate administration and organisational change.
Boothe also worked on governance frameworks, legal processes, policy development and conflict resolution, a press release said on 21 May.
Boothe completed the Director’s Education and Accreditation Program and holds the Accredited Director designation from The Chartered Governance Institute of Canada.
Alongside her role on the CCCS board, Boothe also serves on boards linked to fund structures, local resident companies and special purpose vehicles.
In the press release, she said the addition of directorship services fits into the company’s wider corporate and governance business.
“To be able to offer directorship services to both unregulated and regulated entities and funds complements the range of regulatory, corporate and governance services our team provides,” Boothe said.
She said Cayman-based directors can help companies meet governance and economic substance requirements while handling oversight locally.
“Strong directorship services are the backbone of well-governed Cayman funds and regulated entities,” she said.
“Independent, experienced directors don’t just satisfy regulatory expectations, they provide critical oversight, challenge assumptions, and safeguard investor interests.”
Boothe added that locating “mind and management” in Cayman can also support relationships with banks, auditors and investors.
Katie Bonfrer, group managing director of Collas Crill Trust and Corporate Services, said CCCS had spent the past year restructuring parts of the business and preparing for expansion.
“This has been a significant year of change for CCCS. Together, we have worked hard to lay the foundations for future growth, strengthen the business, and position ourselves for the opportunities ahead,” Bonfrer said.
She said Boothe’s experience in corporate services will support the next stage of the company’s development.
