Cayman Islands lawyers from several offshore law firms have been recognised in the 2026 edition of the Lexology Index.
Firms tied to the jurisdiction’s financial services sector appeared across investment funds, restructuring, trusts and dispute resolution rankings.
The annual rankings, previously published under the Who’s Who Legal brand, are based on peer recommendations, client feedback and independent research covering legal markets worldwide.
Maples Group recorded multiple recognitions in this year’s index. Caroline Moran was named a Global Elite Thought Leader, while Michael Richardson, Nicholas Holland and Jonathan Green were listed as Thought Leaders.
Walkers also featured prominently in the rankings. Ingrid Pierce and Shelley White were recognised as Global Elite Thought Leaders, while Tim Ludford-Thomas, Matthew Goucke and Monique Bhullar were included in the Thought Leader category.
At Appleby, Carlos De Serpa Pimentel received a Global Elite Thought Leader ranking. Sebastian Said and Alan Bercow were recognised as Thought Leaders.
Other firms with Cayman-based lawyers included in the index were Conyers, Carey Olsen, Mourant, Ogier, Bedell Cristin, Campbells, Travers Thorp Alberga, HSM Chambers and Collas Crill.
The rankings reflect Cayman’s role in offshore legal work tied to hedge funds, private equity, insolvencies and cross-border transactions.
Cayman-based firms also regularly advise on regulatory matters and private wealth structures.
Lexology Index rankings are closely followed within the legal sector because firms and clients often use them as a benchmark for specialist expertise and market standing.
