The National Trust is offering a paid summer internship for a Caymanian high school or university student to support wildlife fieldwork.
The placement lasts between two and three months, runs full-time from Monday to Friday and would ideally start as soon as possible.
Responsibilities will include sorting and organising wildlife camera images from protected areas to help monitor species like the blue iguana and invasive predators and carry out data entry at the Blue Iguana Conservation Facility.
The intern – who must have reliable transport – would also assist with acoustic analysis of bird calls, learning to identify native and endemic birds using specialised software.
The position includes a stipend of CI$1,250 a month.
Those interested can submit a CV and cover letter to projectmanager@nationaltrust.org.ky before 11 June. More information can be found here.
