Half of all delegate passes for the 2026 Cayman Captive Forum were sold on the first day registration opened, according to the Insurance Managers Association of Cayman (IMAC).
The three-day conference, organised by IMAC, will take place from 1 to 3 December at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman.
The Cayman Captive Forum is the largest captive insurance conference in the world and attracts captive owners, risk managers, regulators, insurance managers and service providers from across the industry.
In a press release on 18 June, IMAC said the early take-up of passes points to continued demand for the event, which draws delegates from multiple countries each year.
James Trundle, chair of IMAC, said the response reflects both interest in the forum and the Cayman Islands’ role in the global captive insurance market.
“The exceptional response to registration reflects the continued strength of the Cayman Islands as a leading international insurance domicile and the value that industry professionals place on gathering here each year,” Trundle said.
“The Cayman Captive Forum has become a cornerstone event for the global captive insurance industry, and we’re looking forward to welcoming delegates from around the world for another outstanding programme.”
The annual conference serves as a meeting point for industry participants to discuss developments in the captive insurance sector and connect with peers, regulators and service providers.
Michael Wild, chair of the Cayman Captive Forum Committee, said demand was evident as soon as registration opened.
“The level of interest we’ve seen from day one’s registration is a testament to the Forum’s reputation for delivering meaningful insights, valuable connections and discussions that help shape the future of our industry.
“Our committee is working hard to develop an engaging agenda and exceptional delegate experience, and we’re excited to share further details in the weeks ahead.”
IMAC said more information about keynote speakers and the event programme will be released in the coming weeks.
The association also encouraged prospective delegates to register early as early bird places continue to be filled.
