Coco Fest will not take place in Grand Cayman this year due to logistical and resource limitations, according to the Cayman Islands National Attractions Authority (CINAA).
It is scheduled to return in 2027 with planning efforts focused on delivering an enhanced and memorable experience.
In a press release on 21 April, CINAA board chair Charles Clifford said the move was made to allow for time and capacity to meet standards expected of the festival.
“While we understand that many look forward to Coco Fest each year, this decision allows us to step back, refine our planning and ensure that when the festival returns, it does so at the level of quality and experience our patrons expect,” he said.
During the interim, CINAA will be investing time and resources to strengthen event planning and execution.
CINNA acting director John Lawrus said: “Our goal is to deliver events that create lasting enjoyment and value for the community, and this additional time will help us do just that.”
Christmas at the Castle remains on the planning schedule for this year, and additional information will be provided in due course.
CINAA thanked the public, sponsors and stakeholders for their understanding and continued support and said it looks forward to welcoming everyone back for Coco Fest in 2027.
Coco Fest, held annually at Pedro St James, is a family-friendly cultural and food festival celebrating the coconut and Caymanian heritage
