The Cayman Islands Marketing Professionals Association (CIMPA)’s 2026 annual general meeting (AGM) will take place on 25 February.
The meeting is scheduled to run from 4pm to 6pm at the Lloyd Conference Room in Cricket Square, followed by a networking event from 6pm to 7pm.
A key item on the agenda is a special resolution to update the organisation’s articles of association and transition its non-profit organisation (NPO) management to the Cayman Business Portal.
Members will also vote on the 2026 board during the meeting.
CIMPA is currently accepting nominations for the vice chair position, with the deadline set for 18 February. Active membership is required to participate in voting.
The organisation has called on members to attend, noting that a quorum is necessary to formally approve the incoming board and the amended memorandum and articles of association.
Outgoing vice chair Kathy Miller reflected on her tenure with the organisation in a LinkedIn post on 27 January.
“This AGM is a special one to me because it marks the end of my term as vice chair with the CIMPA – a role which I have loved doing for the past two and a half years,” she said.
“When I first joined in late 2023, I did not know what to expect but quickly saw how I could help support the board and the marketing industry in Cayman.
“All boards face challenges, but that is an opportunity for you to learn and grow.
“I’m proud of what the 2023-2024 board accomplished and enjoyed working with an almost entirely new board in 2025 – with so many great things in store for 2026.”
Miller encouraged members considering the vice chair role to pursue it.
“If you are thinking about running for vice chair of CIMPA, just do it. It does require dedication, hustle and leadership, but you get to help shape, support and celebrate an industry you love,” she said.
