A clutch of Cayman Islands-based law firms, fund platforms and asset managers have picked up nominations at the Hedgeweek Global Digital Assets Awards 2026.
The awards, which will be held on 9 June in London on the back of Hedgeweek’s annual European Summit, recognise fund managers and service providers in the digital assets space.
Nominees on the service provider side are drawn from research by Hedgeweek’s in-house team and a survey of more than 100 digital assets fund managers globally, with an in-house panel selecting finalists before a public vote determines the winners.
Maples Group, which has been headquartered in Grand Cayman since 1962, leads the local showing with nominations in three law firm categories – client services, fund domicile and overall.
George Town-based Loeb Smith Attorneys, which also has offices in BVI and Hong Kong, matched that tally in the same three categories.
Ogier, present in the Cayman Islands since 1991, earned nominations for law firm of the year in both fund domicile and overall, while Harneys, operating from Harbour Place in Grand Cayman since 2008, was nominated in client services and fund domicile.
Among fund managers and platforms, CV5 Capital – a CIMA-regulated fund platform headquartered in Grand Cayman – secured three nominations: regulatory adviser of the year, solution provider of the year: execution and trading, and new solution provider of the year.
In a press release on 5 March, David Lloyd, founder and CEO of CV5 Capital, said the nominations are an “important milestone” for the company.
“These nominations are a reflection of the work our team and partners have done to bring institutional governance, risk management and operational excellence into the digital asset space,” he said.
Hashdex Asset Management, incorporated as a Cayman Islands exempted company and registered with CIMA, was nominated for institutional digital asset innovation of the year and index provider of the year.
The nominations come as Cayman-domiciled structures continue to underpin much of the global digital assets fund industry, with CIMA-regulated vehicles remaining a common wrapper for institutional crypto strategies.
