The annual festival is organised by CayMusicA and aims to both entertain the community and provide musical education to the youth of the Cayman Islands.

The first concert, from 7pm on 5 February will be Jazz en Trance Big Band, led by saxophonist Denys Carbó Cedeño. They will play jazz, Latin, Caribbean and contemporary big band music.

On 7 February from 7pm, the Cayman Youth Camerata will perform alongside former students and professors from the Yehudi Menuhin School.

The Cayman Youth Camerata is the premier ensemble of the CayMusicA after school programme and showcases the talent and dedication of some of Cayman’s most talented young musicians.

On 8 February from 5pm, Cayman’s rising stars Future Fobia join forces with the all-female Dutch band, The Royals, for a night of classic and contemporary rock.

On 12 February from 7pm, Cayman-born multidisciplinary Jaedyn Hanna brings her powerful blend of music and storytelling to the stage.

The festival will wrap up on 14 February from 7pm, when the Miguel Vargas Flamenco Dance Theatre will unite dance, song, guitar and rhythm in a vibrant celebration of Spanish tradition.

This event will also feature flamenco singer Esperanza Fernández.

Co-founder and artistic director Glen Inanga said in a CayMusicA press release: “The Cayman Arts Festival is CayMusicA’s longest-standing event, and I’m delighted to invite audiences to enjoy the amazing group of artists who will be performing this year.”

CayMusicA executive director Marius Gaina, meanwhile, said this year’s festival promises to be very special.

“I’m very pleased that our visiting musicians and performers will also be able to meet with students and connect with our amazing local musicians and artists to provide additional support and guidance,” he said.

Tickets can be purchased at the door or online. For those buying tickets online, CayMusicA invites people to bring a friend for a two-for-one ticket price (this offer is not available for the final evening).
