A pop-up event will celebrate digital art and creativity as part of Cayman Art Week this month.
The evening, hosted by Enterprise Cayman on Friday, 23 May, will showcase works by digital artists.
It will also include a panel discussion exploring the intersection of digital art, AI, immersion, and tokenisation.
The featured artists are:
Rudolph Johnson
Johnson’s ‘Wreck of the Ten Sails’ – a fine-art digital recreation of the 1974 shipwreck off Grand Cayman – will be projected onto the walls, offering an immersive experience.
Michael Mothen aka Banana Art Kid
Mothen will be displaying his digital art series, Fisherman’s Dream, which captures “the emotional pull of the sea through moments of solitude, mystery and wonder”.
Shane Aquârt aka Dready
Aquârt will share a selection of printed but digitally created art which has been shaped by his Caribbean roots and international experiences.
Kristi Anderson
Anderson will showcase her intricate hand-drawn illustrations with digital elements that are rooted in the culture and natural beauty of her Caymanian home.
The doors to the event, held at Signal House, will open at 4pm, with the panel discussion running from 6pm to 7pm.
There will be a cash bar and tapas.
Those wishing to reserve a spot at the panel discussion can visit the Enterprise Cayman website here.
