Industry experts joined young people from across the Cayman Islands to ignite curiosity about emerging technology, innovation and digital solutions during a two-day conference.
The 2024 TechKYouth Event was held at South Sound Community Centre in George Town on 14 and 15 July.
It featured educational talks where the experts shared their insights on subjects such as blockchain, AI and cybersecurity.

There were also hands-on workshops and a hackathon, in which young people were asked to brainstorm, develop and pitch innovative solutions to real-world problems to a panel of judges.
Among the expert speakers were representatives from Cayman Finance, Cayman Islands Monetary Authority, Workforce Opportunities and Residency Cayman, Harvard, Filecoin Foundation and HyperCycle AI.
Haymond Rankin, associate director at Cayman Finance, spoke about the future of work, digital finance and ‘Cayman’s global edge’.
Posting on LinkedIn after the event, he wrote: “The energy at today’s TechKYouth Conference was incredible!
