Golf enthusiasts came together for CARE’s second annual ‘Fore the Paws’ tournament.
The event was held at North Sound Golf Club on 13 June and raised money for the pet charity’s work spaying and neutering cats and dogs on the islands for free.
“Our second CARE Fore the Paws golf tournament went off without any hitches and we’d like to thank everyone who supported us and made it possible,” a CARE spokesperson said.

“Together we raised enough to cover our vet bills for several months. This will enable us to make sure that we are able to continue fixing the dogs and cats of Cayman for free for those in real need.”
Although no-one won the big prize this year – a boat for getting a hole in one – there were plenty of winners in other categories.
This included the overall tournament winners of the day, fund governance firm Calderwood.
Through its services, CARE, which stands for Cayman Animal Rescue Enthusiasts, aims to eliminate the over-population of pets and the animal suffering it can lead to.
It does this by spaying and neutering stray animals and pets of those who struggle to cover the costs themselves.
