Cayman Islands entrepreneur Melesia Adderley has been awarded a 2026 Caribbean and African Women of Impact (CAWI) Honors award in the United States.
The awards celebrate outstanding women of Caribbean and African heritage who are making a significant impact in their communities and industries.

Adderley, who set up organic feminine care brand Women’s Haven, received the accolade at a ceremony in Maryland on 22 March.
She was among several women celebrated from various industries, including business and entrepreneurship, arts and entertainment, advocacy and human rights, education, sports and wellness.
Adderley, who won Entrepreneur of the Year at the 2025 Cayman Islands Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards, is the first Caymanian to receive a CAWI honour.
She told Cayman Independent: “I was truly honored to be recognised along with Grammy nominees and Olympians just to name a few.”
Her trip to the US to collect the award was sponsored by the Cayman Islands Department of Tourism and the CAWI committee.
Adderley launched Women’s Haven eight years ago, and the business now sells organic pads, liners, tampons and other feminine products in 12 countries across the region.
