Traditional Caymanian-style homes have been recreated to celebrate the islands’ design tradition and inspire students to take a career in planning and construction.
The five model homes were made by the government’s Department of Planning and will be shown at upcoming career fairs at schools across the islands.
A government spokesperson said it hoped the models would spark curiosity and help broaden the understanding of the planning and building process.
They added: “Through initiatives like these, the Department of Planning and the Ministry of Planning, Agriculture, Housing, Infrastructure, Transport and Development continue to empower the next generation with knowledge about building safety, sustainability, and the diverse career paths available within the construction and planning sectors.”
