Hawksford boosts Cayman team with COO appointment

Global service provider Hawksford has appointed Tamara Hill as chief operating officer (COO) in the Cayman Islands.

In her new role, she will help drive the company’s success in the jurisdiction and globally, working collaboratively with colleagues across the firm’s multijurisdictional network.

Hill will have a particular focus on optimising processes, improving efficiency and implementing best practices, a press release said on 11 September.

She said she is “absolutely delighted” to be joining Hawksford which she described as a firm with such a clear vision and ambitious growth trajectory in Cayman and internationally.

“This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with exceptionally talented colleagues across the jurisdiction and wider network to build on Hawksford’s momentum, accelerate organisational success, and champion a culture of innovation,” Hill said.

“I look forward to contributing my leadership experience, strategic insight, and industry expertise to help shape the next chapter of Hawksford’s journey.”

With a career in international financial services spanning more than 20 years, Hill has knowledge across the corporate, funds and private client services landscape, with specialist expertise in operations, governance and business strategy.

She has worked extensively in leading dynamic teams specialising in regulatory compliance services and the formation and administration of alternative funds and private wealth vehicles across multiple jurisdictions.

She has also previously served on the boards of numerous special purpose vehicles (SPVs).

Hill joins Hawksford having most recently held a client service director role at another global provider, where she was responsible for fostering strong client relationships.

She holds an MBA and is a Member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).

Geoff Ruddick, managing director and country head of Cayman Islands at Hawksford, said he was delighted to welcome Hill to the team.

“Her extensive experience in driving strategic initiatives, fostering a collaborative culture, and implementing innovative, best-in-class operational systems and frameworks will be instrumental – not only in advancing our growth objectives, but also in ensuring we consistently deliver the highest quality service to our clients,” he said.

Hawksford established its operation in Cayman in 2024, following its acquisition of Paradigm Governance Partners.

From its Cayman office, the firm provides high touch boutique fiduciary services to investment fund managers, including independent directorship, distressed fund and value recovery, outsourced accounting, family office operational support, anti-money laundering, economic substance, and ancillary services.

Globally, the group is a provider of corporate, private client and funds services with more than 650 people in key locations across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia and the Americas, supporting clients in more than 115 countries.
