Grammy Award winner Mýa has been announced as the final headliner for next month’s Summer Splash Music Festival.
The American R&B artist will perform at the inaugural event, taking place on Friday, 14 August at Seven Mile Green by the Public Beach.
Mýa, who is also an actor, rose to fame in the late 1990s and early 2000s with chart hits such as ‘Case of the Ex’ and was part of the Grammy-winning collaboration ‘Lady Marmalade’.
Also performing are Jamaican reggae and dancehall artist Serani and Trinidad production and performance duo Full Blown, who were announced earlier this month.

All three acts – who will be joined by local talent – are making their Cayman debut.
Brianne Matthias, event manager at Premier Productions, which is organising the festival, said the trio will ensure the event has a “strong mix of R&B, pop, reggae and Caribbean music”.
“Our goal was to create a fresh summer music experience for Cayman that brings together established international talent while still reflecting the energy and diversity of the Caribbean,” she told Cayman Independent.
“Each artist offers something different, and we believe the combination will make for a memorable night of live entertainment.”
The festival, which starts at 7pm, will also feature bars and a food village.
General admission tickets start at CI$49, while Tier 1 VIP tickets are priced at $159.
VIP ticket holders will have access to a dedicated entrance, viewing area, lounge and bar, private restroom facilities and premium food vendors.
Tickets are available on the Summer Splash Music Festival website here.
