Walkers law firm has welcomed four Caymanian legal professionals to its 18-month Articles of Clerkship programme.
Alejandra ‘Valentina’ Bustos, Christopher Fletcher, James Priaulx and Sophie Stewart joined the scheme and will rotate through the firm’s specialised practices.
These are investment funds, finance, corporate, insolvency and dispute resolution, private capital and trusts, and regulatory and compliance.
At the end of the programme, each articled clerk will be called to the Cayman Islands Bar, marking their qualification as practicing lawyers.
Peter Kendall, insolvency and dispute resolution partner and trainee committee chair, said in a press release: “We’re proud to support Valentina, Christopher, James and Sophie as they take this next step towards qualifying as lawyers.
“Their passion for the law reinforces our mission to invest in exceptional Caymanian talent and strengthen the Cayman Islands legal community.”
All four are previous recipients of the Walkers Legal Scholarship, have studied law at university and completed post graduate legal qualifications.
