The deadline to apply for the Ministry of Tourism’s Visitor Experience Development Grant Programme (VEDGP) for 2026 is fast approaching, with submissions closing on 1 May.
The programme offers funding to support emerging Caymanian entrepreneurs developing new tourism-related products and services.
Successful applicants can receive up to CI$50,000, with a total allocation of $250,000 available for the 2026 cycle.
The grant aims to support innovative ideas that are designed to enhance the visitor experience to the Cayman Islands, including projects in eco-tourism, cultural heritage, wellness retreats and luxury offerings.
The ministry is particularly encouraging proposals that highlight Caymanian culture and identity, while promoting sustainability and accessibility.
To be eligible, businesses must be 100% Caymanian-owned and staffed in line with the Immigration (Transition) Act.
Applications are assessed by a panel comprising representatives from the Ministry of Tourism, the Department of Tourism, and the Cayman Islands Centre for Business Development.
Funding is distributed in instalments, and successful applicants are required to participate in professional development workshops and ongoing KPI monitoring.
