Cyclists from across Grand Cayman are set to take part in the 44th annual KiwaniBike ride next month.
The long-running charity event, which raises funds for youth programmes and community projects, will see cyclists take part in a 22-kilometre ride on Sunday, 7 June.
Participants will start at 7am at the Blow Holes in East End and finish at Spotts Dock in Savannah.
Riders of varying skill levels are encouraged to participate in the event, which is organised by Kiwanis Club of Grand Cayman.
However, the club notes on its website that participants should be comfortable completing a long-distance cycle route.
The ride is also open to groups and families with older children able to safely manage the course.
Registration is available on the Kiwanis website and in person on the day of the event.
Participants can make pledges or raise money through sponsorship, with funds going to support Kiwanis community and youth projects.
Pledge amounts begin at CI$25, and offer rewards and opportunities to win prizes, including a new bicycle.
To assist riders, organisers will provide bike drop-off facilities at Spotts Dock between 5:30am and 6am, along with a shuttle service transporting riders from the finish line to the starting point in East End before the ride begins at 7am.
Cyclists will then complete the route back towards Savannah, ending at Spotts Dock.
Kiwanis Club is encouraging residents to take part, support riders through pledges or donations, and help continue a community tradition that has now been running for more than four decades.
