Local football clubs in the Cayman Islands have received a boost with the recent donation of uniforms, footballs, and prize money from the Cayman Islands Football Association (CIFA).
CIFA president Alfredo Whittaker, together with members of the executive committee, made the donations as part of ongoing efforts to support the development of football.
“There is a lot that happens behind the scenes in terms of CIFA supporting the development of Cayman Islands clubs and players. This is just one example,” Whittaker said.
“We are happy to be able to support local football in this way and will continue to do so whenever we can.”
Alongside the equipment donations, CIFA awarded prize money to clubs for their performances during the 2023-2024 season.
“Congratulations to all the teams which, through their performances in competitions last season, earned prize money,” Whittaker added.
