Cayman-based CV5 Capital unveils multilingual website overhaul

CV5 Capital has launched a redesigned website in four languages and introduced a new calculator designed to show hedge fund managers how much it could cost to launch and operate a fund before they commit.

The Cayman Islands-based fund infrastructure provider said the website is now available in English, Japanese, Chinese and Arabic, reflecting the regions where its fund managers and investors are based.

At the centre of the update is a hedge fund launch fee calculator that generates cost estimates based on a manager’s chosen fund structure and operating model.

David Lloyd, chief executive officer of CV5 Capital, said the additions were intended to address two common questions from prospective managers – how to access information in their preferred language and how much a fund launch is likely to cost.

“Our managers are local, but their investors are global, and so is the talent we work with. Presenting the platform in English, Japanese, Chinese and Arabic is a practical reflection of where the managers and capital we support actually are,” Lloyd said in a press release.

“The launch fee calculator answers the first question every serious manager has, the real cost of launching and running a fund, and it answers it clearly and upfront.”

The redesigned website brings together information on the firm’s hedge fund platform for traditional investment strategies and its digital asset fund platform for on-chain and tokenised strategies.

It also provides clearer access to information on fund structuring, governance and reporting requirements.

The company said the multilingual rollout is intended to help managers and institutional investors understand how Cayman fund structures operate, regardless of the language in which they conduct business.

The new calculator produces estimates based on factors that affect fund costs, including investment strategy, net asset value reporting frequency, the number of share classes and the structure selected by the manager.

According to CV5 Capital, the tool provides an estimate covering both the one-time costs of launching a fund and the recurring costs of operating it. The figures generated are indicative and tailored to the information entered by the user.

The company said the calculator is intended to give managers a clearer view of expected costs before making launch decisions or undergoing due diligence by institutional allocators.

The hedge fund launch fee calculator is available to prospective managers on request.
