Cayman Airways is adding weekly Friday flights between Grand Cayman and Panama this summer, expanding its service on the route from 26 June to 28 August.
The additional flights will operate alongside the airline’s existing year-round Panama schedule, which currently runs on Mondays and Thursdays.
In a public service announcement issued on 9 June, Cayman Airways said the extra service is intended to give travellers more flexibility for leisure trips, business travel and onward connections.
Under the summer schedule, flight KX2852 will depart Grand Cayman at 10:45am and arrive in Panama at 12:45pm.
The return flight, KX2853, will leave Panama at 1:45pm and arrive in Grand Cayman at 3:45pm.
The expansion increases travel options to Panama, which serves as a major connecting point for passengers travelling throughout the region via Tocumen International Airport.
According to Cayman Airways, travellers can connect from Panama to destinations across Latin America and the Caribbean, including Costa Rica, Brazil, Colombia, Argentina and the Dominican Republic.
The airline also highlighted Panama as a destination in its own right, pointing to attractions such as the Panama Canal, the historic Casco Antiguo district, shopping areas, restaurants and cultural sites.
Customers can book the additional flights through the Cayman Airways website, mobile app, reservations centre or local travel agents.
