Camana Bay has been shortlisted for the 2025 Urban Land Institute (ULI) Southeast Florida/Caribbean Vision Awards.
The flagship Dart project in Grand Cayman is one of six developments in the running for Project of the Year.
The award recognises excellent development projects in the region that show innovation, transformation and responsibility in land use and development.

According to the ULI awards programme, Camana Bay “exemplifies long-term vision and placemaking rooted in regional identity” and serves as “a thriving hub for commerce, culture and everyday life”.
Camana Bay, on Grand Cayman’s Seven Mile Beach corridor, was conceived in the mid-1990s and opened in 2007.
Today it’s a 685-acre town featuring a mix of residential, commercial, educational and recreational spaces that were designed with long-term sustainability, walkability, community and a Caribbean identity in mind.
“From the outset, Camana Bay was envisioned as more than a development,” said Gary Gibbs, Dart’s executive vice president of development, in an announcement on Camana Bay’s website.
“It was designed to be a dynamic community that brings people together in one holistic environment of living, working and enjoying free time.
“Being recognised by ULI affirms the value of our long-term vision and approach to placemaking rooted in local culture and sense of place.”
The winner will be revealed at the 2025 Vision Awards event on 20 November at the JW Marriott Marquis Miami.
