Law firm Appleby has acted as Cayman Islands counsel to Cartesian Growth Corporation IV in connection with its US$275 million initial public offering on the Nasdaq Stock Market.
The special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) offered 27.5 million units at US$10 each, including 2.5 million units issued through the partial exercise of the underwriters’ over-allotment option.
The units began trading on Nasdaq on 25 June under the ticker symbol CGCFU.
Cartesian Growth Corporation IV is sponsored by an affiliate of Cartesian Capital Group, a global private equity firm focused on providing growth capital to transnational businesses.
Each unit comprises one Class A ordinary share and one-third of a redeemable warrant.
Once the securities begin trading separately, the shares and warrants are expected to trade under the symbols CGCF and CGCFW, respectively.
Appleby’s team was led by Cayman partner Alexandra Low and included Hong Kong senior associate Alejandra Gonzalez Saucedo, legal manager Kelly Tang, Cayman paralegal Sophia Cunningham and articled clerk Emily McIntyre.
