The National Trust and the Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the Cayman Islands’ very first Heritage Hunt this month.
The scavenger hunt, on Saturday, 21 June will see family, friends, corporate teams and individuals embark on a fun and educational journey across Grand Cayman.
Participants will visit a minimum of five National Trust sites, solving puzzles and collecting clues that reveal stories and significance behind each location.
The organisers hope the event, as well as offering a fun and engaging day, will raise awareness of Cayman’s rich history, culture and natural environment.
It is being organised by the Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Cayman Class of 2025 in partnership with the National Trust.
Alanna Warwick-Smith, chair of the class’s marketing sub-committee, said: “The Heritage Hunt is more than just a fun event – it’s a meaningful opportunity to connect our community with the sites, stories, and symbols that shape who we are.”
The scavenger hunt will culminate in a celebration at the Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park, which has partnered with the event as a venue sponsor, where there will be awards and recognition.
Registration costs $100, which covers teams of up to five participants. All proceeds go to the National Trust.
The event runs from 9am to 5pm, with the park celebrations kicking off at 3pm.
One of Heritage Hunt’s lead sponsors is financial services firm ZEDRA. The organisers are still keen to hear from any other businesses keen to support the day.
To register a place on the hunt, the public is invited to visit the Chamber’s website and for more information or to sponsor the event email leadershipcayman2025@gmail.com.
The Leadership Cayman programme is a six-month course, with bi-weekly seminars, that gives participants the chance to develop new skills and learn about and connect with the Cayman Islands’ business sector.
