The Cayman Islands has ranked third in a new global assessment of destinations for internationally mobile wealth.
Henley and Partners awarded Cayman a Wealth Mobility Competitiveness Score of 74.3 out of 100 in its Global Wealth Mobility Leaders 2026 report, placing it behind only Singapore and New Zealand.
Singapore topped the table with a score of 79.5 and New Zealand followed with 75.8. Both were classified as a ‘Leading Wealth Mobility Jurisdiction’.
Meanwhile, Cayman was categorised as a ‘Strong Wealth Mobility Jurisdiction’.
Several other international financial centres were included in the assessment.
Bermuda received a score of 72.0, Hong Kong scored 71.2, Switzerland recorded 70.8 and Monaco received 70.0.
According to Henley and Partners, the jurisdiction continues to play a significant role as a wealth-structuring destination.
The firm attributed that position to its tax-neutral framework, legal certainty and financial services sector.
The report is based on the firm’s Global Wealth Mobility Framework, which assesses factors such as policy competitiveness, investor access, institutional quality, resilience and international optionality.
Henley and Partners said the findings were informed by client enquiry and application trends across more than 100 nationalities.
The assessment also drew on information from private banks, wealth managers, family offices, tax advisers, legal practitioners and government partners.
The firm said the report is not intended to measure millionaire migration flows or predict future movements of wealth.
Instead, it is designed to identify countries that demonstrate structural characteristics associated with globally mobile wealth.
According to the report, inclusion reflects a combination of competitiveness, investor demand, market relevance and observed wealth mobility trends.
