Nominations are now open for the 2026 Cayman Islands honouree categories of the International Scuba Diving Hall of Fame (ISDHF).
The annual awards celebrate pioneers and leaders whose work has helped shape the diving industry through advocacy, innovation, education and sustainability.
Local inductees join an international group of industry figures recognised for their achievements.
Two Cayman categories are open for nominations, the Cayman Islands Department of Tourism shared in its 30 June newsletter.
The 2026 Honouree category is for individuals whose contributions to the diving industry were made before 2013.
Meanwhile, the 2026 Emerging Honouree category recognises individuals under the age of 35 whose contributions have been made since 2013.
Among those honoured in 2025 were Courtney Platt and Jason Belport as Local Honourees, while Ragime Powery received the Emerging Honouree award.
The deadline for nominations is Friday, 31 July.
The 2026 induction ceremony will be held on 4 September at Hotel Indigo Grand Cayman, where local honourees will be recognised alongside international inductees.
The annual event brings together members of the global diving community to celebrate achievements and contributions to the industry.
Nomination forms and tickets for the induction ceremony are available on the International Scuba Diving Hall of Fame website at isdhf.com
