Cayman’s digital asset sector is set to make a coordinated push into the Canadian market with the launch of a new summit during Canada Crypto Week in Toronto.
The Cayman-Canada Summit is scheduled for 21 July and will bring together founders, investors, advisers and fintech executives from Cayman, Canada and other jurisdictions.
The event is being organised by Blockchain North as part of what it describes as a broader effort to strengthen links between Canadian businesses and international digital asset ecosystems.
Organisers said the summit will focus on practical discussions around digital assets, capital formation, governance, treasury management and cross-border growth.
The gathering is being positioned as a smaller, invitation-based event alongside the wider Canada Crypto Week programme.
Attendance will be limited to approved applicants.
According to organisers, the event is aimed at founders, investors, digital asset operators, fintech executives and senior advisers exploring opportunities connected to Cayman.
Topics scheduled for discussion include business structuring, jurisdictional considerations, tokenisation, capital raising, treasury operations, governance and compliance.
Partnerships, market access and international expansion are also expected to feature in discussions.
The programme will include an opening presentation from a Cayman representative, a keynote address or fireside conversation, and networking sessions.
Organisers said attendees will have direct access to Cayman-based companies, advisers and industry representatives operating in the digital assets and financial services sectors.
The event comes as jurisdictions continue seeking to attract digital asset businesses, investment capital and technology companies.
It also reflects ongoing efforts by Cayman industry groups and service providers to engage with digital asset markets outside the jurisdiction.
Registration is open, subject to approval by the organisers.
