Tickets are now on sale for the National Trust’s annual Blue Tie Dinner, with proceeds going towards the protection of the Cayman Islands’ endangered blue iguanas.
The event will be held under the stars in the grounds of the historic Grand Old House in Grand Cayman from 6:30pm to 9pm on 31 January.
Tickets include a welcome cocktail, three-course dinner with wine and valet parking.
The evening will feature a 10-minute mini-documentary about the blue iguana by local filmmaker Rob Tyler and a chance to see the jewellery collection ‘Blu Lagartos’, by jeweller Susan Foster and environmental activist Celine Cousteau.
The pieces, which will be modelled on the night by Miss Universe Cayman Islands 2025, Tahiti Seymour, were inspired by Cayman’s unique animals and plants and funds raised through their sale will go to the National Trust’s blue iguana conservation programme.

The trust’s executive director, Frank Roulstone, told Cayman Independent: “Ms Foster, who has deep Cayman Brac family roots, is a jeweller to the stars and will be on hand to share details of her unique collaboration with Ms Cousteau.
“[Mean]while Miss Universe Cayman Islands 2025, Tahiti Seymour, will showcase these unique Cayman-centric pieces by modelling them at the event.”
Speaking about the fundraiser, Roulstone added: “Guests will enjoy great food and wine with stunning ocean views – all without any long speeches, auctions or raffles.”
The Blue Tie Dinner 2025, held in March, raised CI$17,000 to help protect blue iguanas, which are native to Grand Cayman.
The species was close to extinction about 20 years ago, but the National Trust has since successfully released more than 1,200 into protected areas on the island, including the Queen Elizabet II Botanic Park, The Salina, and Colliers Wilderness Reserve.
Sponsors of the Blue Tie Dinner include Knighthead International, The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman, Ambassadors of the Environment, the Ministry of Health, Environment and Sustainability, and CUC.
Tickets, which cost $200, can be purchased here. The dress code is ‘blue island elegant’.
