Cayman to make League B Nations League debut next month

The Cayman Islands Men’s National Team will make its League B debut in the Concacaf Nations League next month, with four matches scheduled against Dominica, Guyana and Puerto Rico.

Concacaf has confirmed the dates, kick-off times and venues for Cayman’s opening matches in the 2026-27 competition.

Cayman was promoted from League C in the previous Nations League cycle, securing their first-ever promotion to League B.

The team has been drawn into Group A alongside Guyana, Puerto Rico and Dominica.

League B features 16 teams across four groups, with the group winners advancing to the League B Championship.

Cayman will open their campaign against Dominica at 8pm Cayman time on 24 September at Windsor Park in Roseau. Although the match is being played in Dominica, Cayman is designated as the home team.

Three days later, Cayman will face Guyana at 3pm on 27 September also at Windsor Park.

The team will then travel to Puerto Rico for two matches at Estadio Centroamericano Juan Figueroa Freyre in Mayagüez.

Cayman is designated as the home team for the first meeting with Puerto Rico at 8pm on 1 October before the sides meet again at 6pm on 4 October.

“This is another important step for this group,” Cayman head coach Dougie Rowe said in a press release on 24 August.

“We worked hard to earn promotion and now we know exactly where and when we’ll begin this next challenge. League B will demand more from us, but these are the matches we want to be playing.”

The team has remained active in preparation for the competition, drawing 1-1 with Inter Miami CF’s Under-20 side on Saturday, 22 August, in an exhibition match that marked the official opening of Field 2 at the Camana Bay Sports Complex.

The 2026-27 Nations League will also serve as the qualification pathway for the 2027 Concacaf Gold Cup.
