Telecommunications provider Flow has opened a new flagship retail store in Camana Bay, Grand Cayman.

The store, which officially opened to the public on 3 June, has been designed as a customer experience hub where residents and businesses can access telecommunications services, receive customer support and explore new technologies
The latter includes Voice over LTE (VoLTE), Voice over Wi-Fi (VoWiFi) and a backup internet solution intended to help homes and businesses maintain connectivity during service interruptions, the company said in a press release.
The launch of the Camana Bay location also marks the introduction of Liberty Business to the Cayman Islands.
Liberty Business is Flow’s dedicated enterprise solutions brand, which provides connectivity and digital services to organisations in sectors including finance, hospitality, retail and government.
One of the initiatives associated with Liberty Business is the public wifi network at Camana Bay, developed through a partnership between Flow and Dart.
The network is among the largest public wifi deployments in Cayman.

The shop opening comes as Flow continues work on network upgrades across the islands, including the deployment of a fully fibre-based network and the rollout of 5G mobile services.
“Our investment in Cayman has always been centred on building resilient infrastructure and delivering exceptional experiences for residents and businesses alike,” Flow Cayman general manager Bruno Delhaise said.
Flow has also announced plans to strengthen network resilience through a partnership with Starlink.
The arrangement will provide satellite-based backup connectivity for critical elements of its mobile network infrastructure.
The company said this is intended to help maintain communications during major service disruptions and severe weather events, while supporting broader efforts to improve the resilience of telecommunications infrastructure across Cayman.
