Artificial intelligence strategist Tamsin Deasey-Weinstein is holding her next AI meet-up and this time it’s all about vibe coding.
The monthly Zoom event, which is aimed at anyone who is interested in learning more about AI, will take place on 9 April from 6pm.
Deasey-Weinstein, who also works as a director at University College of the Cayman Islands, will be joined by vibe coding expert Tony Wambua.
The pair will share their knowledge on the software development approach where users build applications by describing their intent in plain English to AI agents, rather than writing code line-by-line.
Deasey-Weinstein described it as “one of the most exciting shifts happening in tech right now that’s open to everyone”.
“With vibe coding you can create amazing things with zero technical knowledge,” she told Cayman Independent.
Deasey-Weinstein said Wambua is part of a new generation of creators redefining how software is built through AI-powered vibe coding platforms like Loveable.
“In 2025, Lovable recognised Tony as a ‘Top Builder’, with projects in Kenya and Nigeria outperforming peers in traction and engagement, and he is also part of a select group of feature testers helping shape the future of the platform,” she explained.
Almost 100 people attended last month’s AI meetup, which included insights from AI expert and podcast host Isar Meitis.
“It was clear that people in Cayman really want practical, hands-on ways to use AI in their real lives and work,” Deasey-Weinstein said.
The meet-up is open to all and free, but places must be registered in advance here.
