Dart-owned hotels, The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman and the Kimpton Seafire Resort and Spa have been officially presented with their five stars by Forbes Travel Guide.
It was announced last month that the Ritz-Carlton, its spa and its restaurant Blue by Eric Ripert had received the top accolade for the third consecutive year.
The Ritz-Carlton remains the only triple five-star property in the Caribbean and one of just 16 in the world.
Kimpton Seafire was also awarded five stars for its hotel for the fourth year in a row and for the spa for the third year.
The awards took place during the Forbes Travel Guide summit in Monte-Carlo, Monaco, which was held from 24 to 27 February.
Recieving the five stars on behalf of the resorts were Ritz-Carlton manager Keisha Parcells Robb and Kimpton Seafire area general manager Yann Gillet.
Gillet told Cayman Independent: “Accepting this recognition at the Forbes Travel Guide Summit was a proud moment for our entire team and a meaningful reminder of the dedication behind every guest experience at Seafire.
“Being awarded five-star status for Kimpton Seafire Resort and Spa for the fourth consecutive year, and for The SPA at Seafire for the third consecutive year, reflects our continued focus on thoughtful service, authentic Caymanian hospitality, and creating lasting connections with our guests.”
Parcells Robb, meanwhile, described it as “an incredible honor to accept the Forbes Travel Guide Triple Five-Star recognition” on behalf of the Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman and its staff. “This achievement reflects the dedication, passion and unwavering commitment to excellence that our entire team brings to guests every single day.”We are proud to represent The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman and to celebrate this milestone together.”
Also attending the event were senior vice president of active investments at Dart, Enrique Tasende, Dart director Jackie Doak and Jim Lammers, chair of the board at Dart Container Corporation.
The awards, now in their 68th year, see inspectors travel to 100 countries across the world to pose as everyday guests at hotels, restaurants and spas and on cruise ships.
Palm Heights, the only other Cayman Islands property included, was awarded four stars this year.
