More than 200 business professionals, investors and community members attended a Cayman Islands Chamber of Commerce event focused on real estate opportunities in Panama.
Hosted by MyRealtor at Grand Cayman Marriott Resort on 25 September, the ‘Discover Panama’ session introduced attendees to Gran Central Panama, a development offering residential and investment properties in the Central American market.

Representatives from the Gran Central development team travelled to Grand Cayman to present information about the project, available properties and the investment opportunities in Panama.
Attendees were also able to ask questions about the purchasing process and learn more about the wider Panama real estate market.
MyRealtor said the event – part of the chamber’s Business After Hours series – has already resulted in several prospective investors moving into active discussions, with deposits secured following the presentations.
The company is now arranging visits to Panama for clients who have placed deposits, allowing them to view the Gran Central development and surrounding area before progressing with their purchases.
Roger Southam, managing director at MyRealtor, said the strong attendance demonstrated growing interest among Cayman residents in international investment opportunities.
“The evening was a tremendous success and a great opportunity to introduce Cayman to the possibilities available in Panama,” he said in a chamber press release on 2 October.
“The level of interest and engagement we received reinforced exactly why we wanted to create this connection.”

Southam said the event was part of MyRealtor’s efforts to expand the opportunities it can offer clients beyond Cayman and develop international relationships.
Kiara McLaughlin of MyRealtor said the response had translated into tangible commitments.
“We’re already seeing that interest turn into action, with deposits paid and flights to Panama now being arranged for clients to see their investments firsthand,” she explained.
The event, which included networking opportunities, also highlighted growing connections between Cayman’s business community and international markets.
The chamber’s Business After Hours series is designed to showcase local businesses and organisations, while also allowing chamber members and guests to connect.
